Event Description:
Waterfowl hunting season begins September 26 at Highline Lake!  Hunters must use one of seven designated blinds at the north end of Highline Lake.   Hunting is allowed Monday through Friday ONLY; no weekends! The first split for ducks and coots ends October 10, and the second split runs from November 3 to January 29, 2012.  Geese may be taken through October 2, and again November 4 through January 30, 2012.  Youth days are October 15 and 16.  New for 2011, regulations allow reservations for each of the seven blinds at Highline Lake by calling 1-800-846-9453. Reservations are not accepted more than 14 days in advance of hunt date nor after noon the day before the hunt. Unreserved blinds will be available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Required hunting licenses and stamps are also available at the visitor center. Waterfowl hunting is allowed at Highline Lake Monday through Friday only, 1/2 hour before sunrise to sunset, during the hunting seasons.
