Mike the Headless Chicken Festival
Celebrate the 20th Annual Mike the Headless Chicken Festival June 1st and 2nd, 2018, in Fruita.
This festival is dedicated to the amazing story of one chicken’s will to live. Events such as a 5k run, disc golf tournament, wing and peep eating contests, live music, delicious food and artisan booths make this a weekend to remember. If you're not a Fruita Chamber member, you're welcome to attend once or twice to check out the group, but we'd love for you to join the Chamber and become a regular attendee!

Sugar & the Mint
Sugar & the Mint got their start (as a band) with The Sharlot Hall Museum in Prescott, Arizona in February 2011. Students were, initially, chosen by audition and formed as a youth cultural music conservatory group. In 2014, Sugar and the Mint (Generation) parted ways with Sharlot Hall Museum, (after the program lost funding) and ventured out on its own. They have since become a professional and dynamic young musical group. They play a blend of new old-time, contemporary bluegrass and indie-folk music. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door
