2018 Candidate Forum
The Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting an Election Forum at 6:00 p.m. Thursday March 8th at the Fruita Community Center.
This forum will be a debate format with a moderator and timed answers.
The Chamber is requesting that questions from the public be submitted in advance. Submit questions to the Chamber via email at events@fruitachamber.org
Candidates will not be informed of the questions in advance, and the moderator will have full discretion as to the questions that will posed. Time permitting, the live audience will be allowed to ask questions. The Forum will also be streamed live on the Fruita Chamber’s Facebook page. Those tuning in will also be able to submit questions should time permit.
The Mayor’s seat and three Council seats are up for election in April. The candidates are: Lori Buck, Carolyn Gambino, Kyle Harvey, Karen Leonhart and Rudy Van Voorhees. Mike Durden and Joel Kincaid will be running for Mayor.
In addition, city voters will be deciding the fate of one ballot question:

Election Day is April 3rd.
